Crystal malt (also referred to as Caramel) adds dextrins for body and head retention, contributes a relatively light color and adds mild nutty, toffee-like and sweet flavor notes. Good choice for beers with light to medium amber color.

Instructions:
Add crushed grain to mash of all-grain beer, or use 'tea bag' method with extract beer--add grains to cold water and beginning, heat, and strain out before boiling.
