Fawcett & Sons distinctive peat-smoked malt is produced by smoking pale malt over burning peat. Peated Malt will add a dark, earthy aroma and flavor characteristic of Islay whisky. Used in Scottish strong ales and other Scotch beer styles. Use sparingly. A couple tablespoons may be enough for lighter-bodied beers such as 60 or 70 shilling ales; more can be used in higher gravity ales, smoked stouts and porters.
