Dextrose or brewers sugar is preferred to cane sugar in beer making for its smoother, more refined taste. Also used for priming (carbonating) sugar in bottles and kegs. Dextrose is often preferred over cane sugar for sweetening wines.
Instructions:
Use 5 1/2 cups (2 lbs) to 'fill out' a 3.3 to 4lb canned beer kit. Use 3/4 cup (5 oz by weight) to prime (carbonate) a 5 gallon batch. to prime individual bottles, use a rounded 1/2 tsp per 12oz bottle.
