A triploid variety from New Zealand; released for commercial use in 2000 and now available for homebrewers! Flavor of this prized hop is often described as “fresh crushed gooseberries” with white wine fruitiness- descriptors also often used for the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc, thus the name Sauvin. Truly unique flavor, used for both bittering and aroma, very bold in presentation. Use for American style pale ales, IPAs and Imperials.
