Product Description

De-husked (de-bittered). From Weryemann Malting of Bamberg, germany. Used in German dark beers like Munich dunkels, altbiers, schwarzbiers, etc. Roasted with husk removed to avoid harsh, astringent grainy flavors.

Color: 450-490 L

Recommended usage: Max % of batch: 10% Adds about .0065/lb/5gal to gravity. No enzymes, does not require mashing.

Add crushed grain to mash of all-grain beer, or use "tea bag" method with extract recipes-- add grains to cold water at beginning, heat to approx 155 deg, hold for 20 minutes then strain out before boiling.
